Browse All TopicsI have four child domains aside from my root domain. I have run the adprep /forestprep with no problems. I then ran /domainprep against a child domain that is considered our live 'test' environment. No problems as I continued to bring W2k3 DCs on-line. I ventured to prep a second child domain with few users and a small number of servers. Again, no problem.
I domain prepped a third child domain, our largest resource domain with 8,000 users, and immediately broke our Cisco VPN authentication process. Solution? We moved the Cisco TACAC (radius) servers (W2k SP4) to the newly prepped domain and all is functional again but unfortunately not knowing why. Sooo, I ventured to put a W2k3 DC in the same newly prepped domain and once again I receive authenticaiton errors which directly impacted VPN.
I found some documentation that said to domain prep the Root domain first as problems may arise later but unfortunately no real explanation was provided. I'm getting exhausted trying to google on this... suggestions?

If the server that you have ACS running on is the one being upgraded to Windows 2003, then you need to be running at least V4.0.
