Replication errors after installation Windows 2003 SP1
Hi there,
We are an organisation with two domain controllers in our headoffice and single domain controllers in each of our state offices. We have started encountering issues with replication since (we think) updating the two head office DCs to SP1.
The history for this is as follows:
1. We installed SP1 on the two DCs in head office. One of these servers is the PDC emulator.
2. Two days later we noticed that file replication was not working, however we could force a replication.
3. Four days later we made the change recommended in KB article 830746 to the same state office DC and added the key for RPC replication timeout in minutes to be "15". This made no difference so we removed this key and rebooted the server.
4. Three days later users in one of our state offices started complaining about slow logon times. DFS worked sometimes but not other times.
5. Four days after this we installed SP1 onto one of the state servers. This made no difference to replication or logon times.
I have attached the DCDIAG for the site from four different days. You will see that there are now all sorts of replication errors. In the case of SYDADC01, replication did not work but it did a few days after, however they are still experiencing very slow logon times.
In the event viewer, there are a lot of occurances of the following on all servers:
Directory Service: 1308, 1232, 1188, 1865, 1311, 1566, 2052, 2054
File Replication Service: 13509, 13508
If anybody can have a look to see what they think is occuring, that would be great! the DCDIAGS for various dates are attached. One other thing is that they also made some COMMS changes on 04/03/06 to a new provider.

We are an organisation with two domain controllers in our headoffice and single domain controllers in each of our state offices. We have started encountering issues with replication since (we think) updating the two head office DCs to SP1.
The history for this is as follows:
1. We installed SP1 on the two DCs in head office. One of these servers is the PDC emulator.
2. Two days later we noticed that file replication was not working, however we could force a replication.
3. Four days later we made the change recommended in KB article 830746 to the same state office DC and added the key for RPC replication timeout in minutes to be "15". This made no difference so we removed this key and rebooted the server.
4. Three days later users in one of our state offices started complaining about slow logon times. DFS worked sometimes but not other times.
5. Four days after this we installed SP1 onto one of the state servers. This made no difference to replication or logon times.
I have attached the DCDIAG for the site from four different days. You will see that there are now all sorts of replication errors. In the case of SYDADC01, replication did not work but it did a few days after, however they are still experiencing very slow logon times.
In the event viewer, there are a lot of occurances of the following on all servers:
Directory Service: 1308, 1232, 1188, 1865, 1311, 1566, 2052, 2054
File Replication Service: 13509, 13508
If anybody can have a look to see what they think is occuring, that would be great! the DCDIAGS for various dates are attached. One other thing is that they also made some COMMS changes on 04/03/06 to a new provider.
