I want to take Backup from Windows 2003 server,Please anyone can give me complete procedure,how to take backup  stepwise.

what softwere do you use for backup?
were the backup will be stored? ( file/tape/storage)
what do you backup? ( exchange/database/files)

I don't know which software it has,i want to take backup on tape,

you will need a physical tape backup unit/drive and tapes

you can get away with using NTBackup - comes free ready to go with Windows Servers.

start - run - ntbackup - follow the wizard!

to do databases you can 1st back them up to flat file from SQL Server/whatever your DB program is then use ntbackup to back up the flat files.

backup exec and other programs can give you more functionality...
