I don't see that log only log in that dir that has content is netsetup.log....Does that mean it is not a DC in the first place. What is a quick and dirty way to determine if a DC?

Increaded to 500 points here...OK lets take a step back.
I am trying to find out the DCpromo history of a 2003 box. I built the box and was waiting for someone else to do the DC promo stuff. They went to do it and said "wait it is a DC already." I immediatly said, "oh I must have done the server role wizard thing knowing it would be a DC eventually." This was about a month ago.....I can't remember if I had used the wizard, but as I was the only one who touched the server I thought it to be true. I've looked and can't find the .log associated with the wizard in \debug. So I am thinking that I didn't use that wizard. BTW I was told that I shoudl be wearing a skirt for using the wizard...LOL
The sysadmin stated that he "dcpromoed out" the box (I assume he means removed the DC role).....
SO
Here is my next question. Would manually adding the server to the OU "Domain Conttrollers" promote the box? That I KNOW I DID....
Thanks!!!!
"Would manually adding the server to the OU "Domain Conttrollers" promote the box?"
Definately NOT! ONLY dcpromo will do that. The OU is just so all domain controllers will receive the same group policy.
You can run dcpromo. If the wizard says "Install Active Directory Ok/Cancel", the machine is not a DC yet. If the wizard says "Remove Active directory Ok/Cancel" the machine already is a DC.
