LDAP server that I am using is Tivoli Directory Server. Do you know if there is any product for that?

Browse All TopicsMy problem is that I have to synchronize users from Windows Active Directory to another LDAP server. I am writing a program for that. Active Directory does not expose its password field so I am unable to synchronize user passwords. Any suggestions or other approaches I should consider?

You are probably going to need a commercial password sync product as most directory services don't expost passwords.

Microsoft has some software called MIIS (Microsoft Identity Integration Server). This software's purpose is to sync meta directories. It will sync the passwords for you,. See: http://www.microsoft.com/w
If you are using a SUN LDAP server, they have a good tool that syncs passwords between AD and it's directory service.
