My problem is not with the script, I use a very simple .bat file that reads as:
start \\print-server\printer-nam e
The problem is that when we setup the GP as a startup script for the computers in the labs it doesn't work (it works if its a local group policy and the path is stored locally) but if the group policy is set from the domain at OU level it doesn't install any printer and nothing shows in the event viewer, which makes me think its an authentication issue since there are no users logged in when the PC boots.
It has to be a startup script, we cant use login script cause users have to have different printers setup for them in different labs.
So my question is can printers be setup using group policy at OU level as start up scripts? and how?
Thanks,
start \\print-server\printer-nam
