Hi,
Many IT people I work with are migrating to Vista Enterprise Ed. I frequently use several of the Server 2003 admin tools I installed from the Adminpak application.
I have been looking for a similar application for Vista, but can't find anything. The most important are AD Users and Computers as well as Exchange Admin (I actually got that from the Exchange CD).
Is there any solution to my problem, or do I really have to wait for a service pack? I definitely don't want to wait for "Longhorn" if possible.

You can run the Server 2003 tools on Vista. Here is what to do:

Maybe you have to reinstall the adminpak.msi after applying the steps outlined in the article.
For Exchange I think it will not be supported to install the ESM on Vista. At least I found no way to get it installed/running up to now.
ESM cannot be installed on Vista.
You CAN get the tabs for it in ADUC once you get the Adminpak installed.
Here's how to get Exchange tabs.
Copy the following files from your exchange to your vista install in \windows\system32 - search for them as all but one are in the bin folder (you'll need elevated privilages if you still have on UAC on ):
address.dll
escprint.dll
exchmem.dll
glblname.dll
maildsmx.dll
pttrace.dll
netui0.dll
netui1.dll
netui2.dll
Finally:
regsvr32 \windows\system32\maildsmx
In ADUC you should now have the tabs. The only missing function is Moving a mailbox. For that, TS into the Exchange server and do it from ESM.
