Using Group Policy to force regional settings
Is there any way to use group policy to force a computer to have certain regional settings. We need to force our computers to display dates in UK format and this is not applying consistently at present.
If so, are you familiar with creating group policies for users and computer?

No - I am fine with actually creating and applying group policy - we already do that. The problem is that I can't find a setting to change the date and currency settings. I have already found the setting your article mentions but this seems to be the only region based setting that GPO allows you to change. All I really want to know is if there is a way to add to the existing GPo settings to control this, or if I have overlooked the setting somewhere.

Ok, I see. :)
Yes, that's the only one I can find also. You can create your own settings to add in the GPO if you wish. They are called ADM files. Have you ever created them before? They are nothing more than a small file with settings in them that allow you to set registry keys/values in the registry through group policy.

That's great - thanks very much indeed.
Anytime. Hopefully that will get you on your way. You will just need to modify what i've listed above to the correct hive and settings in the registry and make sure you don't filter anything out on the view menu in the GPO console.
Good luck.

Good luck.
