Sync SQL2000 with a pocket PC though exchange active sync or other wireless sync?

My company is running Server 2003 and SQL 2000.  I'm trying to do some research to see if it's possible or if there are any apps available to sync a database app on a pocet PS (WM5) with my SQL2000 database through an active exchnge sync.  I am trying to find a simple way to provide basic company data to my mobile sales force.  We are considering getting Motorola Q's for all of them to sync exchange (email, calendar and contacts) and I'm just curious if there is a way to pull in a couple of tables from our database.  Can any of the experts tell me if this sounds feasable and if so, are there any resources available to point me in the right direction?  If this sounds like more trouble than it's work, I welcome that advice as well.
