account locked out because of too many failed login attempts

I think someone is trying to hack into our network. about every 20 mins I get an error in event viewer saying account has been locked out. Is there a way I can change the lockout period to be greater than like 20 mins. when an account has been locked out? and also is there any tool or anything I can get or use to find out more about who would be trying to hack into our network? like from where the login is tryin to happen? or what account theyre trying to login as? Thanks,
