Setup external accessfor an internal network webserver - windows 2003 webserver

Asked by simplethinking in Windows 2003 Server, SBS Small Business Server, Domain Name Service (DNS)

Setup:
ADSL line with fixed IP, urls attached to the IP machinename.companyname.net, vpn.companyname.net, intranet.companyname.net (intranet is hosted on Small Business server)
ADSL line connects directly to Small Business 2003 r2 server which handles the internal DNS
We have mail setup on machinename.companyname.net/exchange

We have a webserver running windows 2003 webserver
All network users connect via Small Business server, we have setup the webserver as a Host(A) and created a Cname record for websites on the windows 2003 webserver, we can view the sites without any problems

We can create a website on the Small Business server (website12), create a host(A) record and create an extrenal A record to point to website12.companyname.net, this works fine.

We setup the host headers for an external viewing site:
xxx.xxx.xxx.xx (external ip address) 80 website12.companyname.net

Problem
We have a requirement to open the websites to the outside world so the url would be website1.companyname.net.  How to we configure the dns to pass the website request to the windows 2003 webserver?
