Using a www certficate for rpc over https

Asked by zeraxis_ee in Windows 2003 Server, Exchange Email Server, SBS Small Business Server

I am attempting to get RPC over http working with an outlook 2003 client in a single server windows 2003 sbs environment.
I have followed the item at http://www.petri.co.il/configure_rpc_over_https_on_a_single_server.htm but I think I am getting confused about FQDN and certificates so maybe that's the first place to start.
 - We have a web server certificate for www.ourdomain.info and this has been installed and is working ok.
 - I can access owa successfully at https://www.ourdomain.info/exchange
All the examples I have seen use an FQDN such as mail.ourdomain.info - is it possible to configure rpc over http using the www certificate? or do i need a further certificate?Start Free Trial
