4 GB of RAM (Recognized by BIOS), but Windows 2003 only recognizes 3 GB

Hi,

I have a 2003 Standard server that I just upgrade from 1 GB to 4 GB, but windows only recognizes 3, even though the BIOS confirms 4 GB. This is a 32Bit machine.

I've tried the commands /3GB and /PAE suggested on other forums, I know these don't apply on this case, but just to avoid these being mentioned again, no changes.

Since I purchased additional memory for another machine i was able to change all memory sticks to confirm it's not a problem with a failed DIMM. I also confirmed I have the most up to date BIOS just in case.
