I recently tried to create a new mailbox in exchange 2007 and ran in to some problems. Here are the steps I performed.
Right clicked on recipient configuration and selected new mailbox
Selected User Mailbox
On next screen chose New User
Filled in appropriate information on the next screen and finished the process
The problem I am having is, 1: the mailbox is not showing up, 2: the user is not showing up in AD. I tried doing this process again and of course it says the object alread exists. So I opened up the Powershell and tried the Remove-Mailbox command and when I use domain\username, alias, or email address as the identity it does not find the object.
Is there any way I can remove this object? For future reference should I create the user in AD and choose existing user when creating a mailbox to minimize problems?
