Building new 2003 server, looking for options
Hey All..
i'm looking for some opinons. Long story short, a small company asked me to install a server with terminal services. They have 1 common share, and each user has a private user folder.
My game plan is to install Server 2003 R2 as a workgroup server. I was going to do a simple logon.bat that maps to the shared directory and one that maps to the %username%. In theory, that will take care of the local LAN logins (I hope).
Where I need some direction, is on the terminal services side, as I've never installed this before. I'm assuming close to the same procedure, make a user on the server for each user, get a login script going somehow, and life is good?????
Can someone let me know if I'm going down the right road?

as netman said, you are not going down the wrong road, just the long, windy, goat track. Follow Netmans suggestion and get onto the freeway. life is so much nicer up here.
Cheers.
