Hi There, I am trying to map a drive to a local PC user profile folder (Windows 2003 Server and the clients are XP and Windows 2000).
An example of the folder I am trying to map to would be:
C:\Documents and Settings\John.MCORE (where MCORE is the domain).
or
C:\Documents and Settings\John
There are 2 varieties to deal with. Is there a logon script keyword that will allow you to map a drive to the user's profile folder? %username% comes to mind but won't work in this scenario where the newer computers installed AFTER our domain migration have a different naming convetion which does not match up to the value assigned to %username%, the profile folder on our older PCs were appended with the domain name when we joined their workstations to the domain. Such as like "John.MCORE" (where MCORE is the domain name).
Workstations installed after the migration to the domain just use a profile folder identical to their login ID.
Any suggestions to this bugger?
