Hi together, my question really is rather simple:
We have 5 Laptops users who need to be integrated in the domain of the company. Now, what I need to do is setup the profiles so that nothing changes for the users. The users have been using their laptops quite some time before and have their own settings, software, etc.
Now, when I setup a user and connect the computer to the domain a default user profile is loaded. How do I assure that the profile loaded is the profile that is setup by default from the server and not the profile that the user has locally.
Thank you,
Wolfgang

I'm not sure where the above path is that you are referring to. But my understanding is that you are just looking to copy the user profiles from the original profile on the laptop to the new domain profile that will be on the laptop. There is nothing you need to do on the server. These profiles are stored locally on the machine.

Here's what I think you want to do: After you add the laptops to the domain you would like the users to be able to logon to the domain and basically use their original profile. This can be done. What you want to do is to add the computer to the domain, log on to the domain with the domain user account (make sure the domain user profile has local administrator privileges). Log out of the computer and back on as administrator. Copy the old local profile to the new domain profile. Log back on with the domain user profile. All of the user's old settings and desktop info should be there.
