NEED HELP SETTING HOME PAGE TO ALL DOMAIN USERS VIA GPO OR 2003 AD SOMEHOW PLEASE!!
Hello we NEED HELP SETTING HOME PAGE TO ALL DOMAIN USERS VIA GPO OR 2003 AD SOMEHOW PLEASE!!
currently i have the default domain GPO set to our new intranet home page that effects about all users, including thin clients, etc. the problem seems to be the existing deskop/laptop machines on the network. they're still pointing to the old intranet. Even if i go into my registry (on my laptop that's not pointing to the new intranet) and go to machine/IE/main. it shows the correct start page in there, but it's not going to it...
I know i'm missing something simple along the way. Again, it is already set correctly in GPO for all domain users under windows settings/ie/url's.
please help, thanks!! Clint

Thanks,
I did look and there are 4 GP's and all 4 are correct though.
I have forced update and rebooted numerous times too with no luck.
Also, just a side note. this new home page is out new intranet housed on our new domain controller.
out old intranet was housed on our old primary domain controller which is now secondary.
I really don't think that makes any differnece, but wanted to throw it out there.

I looked again though closer and to the right of this and they all say disabled...
can you explain that to me? I mean, we're using the policies, so i don't see how they can be disabled?

Sorry, the disabled status on the right is under search and support.
The GPO's look 100% correct, still no luck though.

I did set it in the: User Configuration > Windows Settings > Internet Explorer Maintenance >Important URL's
infact, i've doine that on every singles server and GPO i can find. i
I'm lost as to why some are coming up and some arent. strange. everyone is using the default domain policy. at least if i go to cmd and type: "gpresult" it shows local policy and defaul domain policy...
I have to be missing something small somewhere. the question is where?

Another comment, although i believe everyones given up at this point...
if any domain user goes to IE,tools,IE options, and clicks, USE DEFAULT CONFIG, the correct page populates there. But when you close out of that and go to the home page, the old one is brought back up........
