Before anything you are taking, make a backup of current database. You may further damage the database to a degree not repairable.
move (attention: not delete) .chk file and other files to a safe place, leave only .edb files. mount the store. if this works, great. if not,
you might want to repair the database (last resort)
Micrsoft has very good white paper on disaster recovery. Backup is never important unless you need it!
