Windows Server 2003 SP2 vs R2

Is Windows Server 2003 /wSp2 the same as Windows Server 2003 R2? What's the best way to confirm if this machine is running R2 or not?

Thanks

Here is some info on win2k3 r2 as well. I know it's a wiki but from what I've read it's accurate.

It is not the same thing.  A non-R2 machine doesn't have R2 features.  ;)

Windows Server 2003 R2 Disc 1 is the same as Windows Server 2003 with SP1.
Windows Server 2003 R2 Disc 2 contains R2-specific features.

Windows Server 2003 SP2 can be installed on both R2 and non-R2 machines.
Damn - too slow with my response!  :)

R2 is shipped with files in the i386 folder date march of 2006.  If this is what you see,  they are service pack level 1 files.  To the best of my knowledge the R2 CD's aren't shipping with SP2 slimpstreamed.

Look in the i386 folder on disk one of the CD.  If the bulk of the files are 2006,  it is sp1.  If the bulk are Feb of 2007.  It is sp2.
The winver didn't work for you?
