windows xp password cache
hi people,
i been having a weird problem with some of our users espacially those whom had unknowing or by mistake had saved there passwords, now when they were asked to change it as per our domain policy. there password keep getting locked out.
my problem is i can't seems to know or find out that which application provided them a chance to save it and where it could be saved or cached.
my assumption is that they had saved there password in using some network share, or while browsing the internet when ISA prompted to re-enter the pasword or maybe somewher else.
question is how can i clear the passwords already stored in xp?

Log on as the user, go to Control Panel->User Accounts and select the account, select Manage network passwords, and then clear the password list.
KCTS> I think that is ""Control Pannel>>User accounts>>Advanced Tab>>Manage passwords tab"" to see a list of cached passwords on XP boxes for web logons and domain logons.

KCTS, I don't know about you but I am finding fewer and fewer questions I can work on. There are some really good players on board 2003 server now. KCTS, Rayansoto, Placebo, Laura, ect.... are all excellent administrators. Thanks again for the DNS advice, KCTS. I am to the point where I am thumbing through and helping where I can.

Does anyone know of a way to prevent xp from caching passwords? I work at a helpdesk and most of the calls we receive are cached password problems when users change their domain logon password. It's a real time waster and I would like to find a solution to this problem.
