Soon as Exchange is connected to network it uses all internet bandwidth

G'day experts

Dell Power Edge 2800 with 2003 Server R2 running Exchange 2003 SP2.

Weird thing with this is the issue occured when a dell tech replaced a faulty SCSI drive. Can't see how that could cause this but, thought worth mentioning :-)

So basically the internet connection gets saturated to the point of not working soon as I plug the Exchange box onto the network.  Ive disabled all the Exchange services (the queue didnt have a great number of items in it)

Where should I go from here experts? I have mcafee installed (Groupshield 6)

Thanks for advise
