At my site we have a single label domain with a child domain on server 2003 std sp1 with exchange 2003 sp2 (member server). We also have a fe server (DMZ)with server 2003 std sp1 and exchange manager sp2 on it as well. The domain name is ABCD and the child domain is 1234.ABCD. OWA works on the ABCD domain but not on 1234.ABCD domain. The address for the working domain is
http://www.domain.com/exchange and the other is
http://www.domain.com/1234. The setting are identical for permissions on both boxes and directory security on the fe server is set to basic authentication for both the domain and child on the fe server. whenever a user goes to the child domain a http 500 error shows up. i checked the logs on both boxes and there is no red or yellow.
