After setting DNS Suffix (which was empty) I can no longer login remotely

Hi,

we had a problem sending mails from our server as some servers did not accept our server as it did not have a FQDN set. I found a tip, which recommended us to set the DNS Suffix. I did that, but after restarting I can no longer access the server with remote desktop connection (mstsc). What can have happened?
