Server 2003 demand dial and DNS

Asked by hmcnasty in Windows 2003 Server, Miscellaneous Networking

Hello,

I have a DC that has 6 PPTP demand dial interfaces to other DC's on the network. It is a wheel and spoke type of set up.
The FSMO DC has a subnet of 192.168.100.0
When I ping my other DC's from the fsmo holder:
some of them give back thier own physical ip' son there respective subnets ex:192.168.75.2
some of them give back the ip address on thier respective demand dial interface ex: 192.168.75.20 etc..
some of them give back an ip address on fsmo subnet ex: 192.168.100. 16

Why does it do this? All of the demand dial interfaces are set up the same way so I can't figure out why my DNS does this.
