We have a citrix server farm, that contains 2 citrix servers. These server use a third (SEPERATE) server for Terminal Server Licensing, Citrix Licensing, Datastore services, etc..
We are looking to replace our two citrix servers with newer servers, so I have started to do some test installs (via a virtual server) to make sure i will not run into any bugs and bumps when the new servers arrive and can get them up and running fast.
however I have already hit a road block. I have install Server 2003, installed SP2 and updates, joined the server to the domain, and went to install Terminal Server. During the install it asks for the license server I gave it the server name that the other Terminal Servers use for licensing, but it says it is a non valid license server. So then I tried to use the discovery mode and it fails to find a server as well.
Notes: All these servers are all on the same subnet, Ive tested connectivity, and all the server can communicate. I've tried manually putting in the preferred server via entering the following registry key: HKLM>System>CurrentControlSet>TermService>Paramters>LicenseServers>ServerName
All no luck... any help is GREATLY appreciated, and rewarded (with points!) =)
