I keep getting the folloing error when users are logging in
Event: 1030, Source: Userenv, Description: Windows cannot query for the list of GPO
&
Event: 1058, Source: Userenv, Description: Windows canot access the file gpt.ini for GPO cn=(C4DABF84-0AE8-4878-8D2
I present I have 2 DC's NTDS replication is fine but FRS is currently turned off as the last time it was turned on it deleted my sysvol folder on my only fully working DC and did not recreate therefore I had to restore the system state from backup. My secound DC is unable to create a sysvol as it keeps coming up with the following error
Event: 13565, Source: NTFRS, Description: FRS is initializing the sys vol with data from another domain controller, Computer xxxxx cannot become a DC until this process is complete. The sys vol will then be shared.
I belive there is a registy entry which delete the local sysvol if out of date, I belive this is turned on my only DC with a valid sysvol, but can remember where to check.
Any assistance would be great
Thank
Garry

This is a Journal Wrap.
Follow Susan's advice on this post: (Use the Burflag method)

In Journal Wrap, you have a partial replication:
You know Garry, I was thinking of something that might be an alternative solution. I think we can get these to replicate while live. Once the replication process has completed, you should see these errors disappear.
First, you should make sure the domain DCs are able to talk with one another. The following steps should be performed on both DCs:
1) On both DCs, make sure they have themself as the primary perferred DNS and the other DC as the secondary preferred DC. To edit these, you will have to go into TCP/IP properties (NIC configuration) and edit the list of preferred DNS servers.
2) Go to the command prompt and type the following on both DCs:
IPconfig /flushdns
IPconfig /registerdns
Net Stop Netlogon
Net Start Netlogon
dfsutil /purgemupcache
flushing DNS will remove all old or improper DNS records
registering dns records registers your Host A record
restarting the netlogon will register your SVR records.
For an explaination of purging the mupcache see this article: http://support.microsoft.c
dfsutil.exe is part of the Support Tools: (I always recommen these utilities installed on Domain controllers)
http://www.microsoft.com/d
Now that your prefered servers hav both DNS server, you should be able to communicate. DNS host A and SRV records will be shared upon replication.
Now, try to force replicate:
This is very important to get this straight: You will want to replicate FROM the machine that has good records TO the machine that has bad records. The changes in Sysvol need to come from the right machine. To force replicate, follow these steps:
**Make sure you get the TO and FROM correct**:
