UREGNT - Join to domain remotely and create a profile
Our CEOs remotely located PC had some problems and we had to rejoin it to the domain, we use Sonicwall VPN client which doesn't allow to logon to VPN before user logs on to his profile. Now for some reason, we are not able to logon the the his domain profile, only to local profile, which works somewhat but it's not the perfect solution. After his estabilshed VPN connection he can access shared drives and connect with Outlook to Exchange but he getting misc logon prompts more often then he used to, which is annoying for him and we just want him to be logged on to his domain account. We have remote access to his PC via Logmein. I know that you can create a domain user profile only when connected to a domain, but maybe there is a trick, to do that some other way? Even though it seems like the old domain profile account is still there under Documents and Settings, but when I try to logon as domainname/username it says it can't contact the domain controller, which is obvious because the VPN connection cannot be establish before he can logon and start the VPN client
Any ideas if there is some way do that remotely, or I shouldn't waste my time and just have him bring the PC back to the office to create his domain profile account?
Thanks

We don't have a problem to join this PC to our domain, that is done because when he is work group mode I can start the VPN and join it, but when I restart it and try to loogon to his domain account, not local machine I can't do that because there is not VPN connection up yet at that time
Gotcha! Sorry! I am not familiar with Sonic firewall, but I have used the following on Cisco VPN's before:

There may be a setting on the Sonic client to accomplish the same thing
