Is there anything I can do to help me get rid of this error message: "Cannot Delete ntuser: Access is Denied"?

I am the domain administrator and the owner on all the folders.  I work at a school and we get rid of all the student directories at the end of the school year and create new ones at the beginning of the following year.  On certain student directories, I am unable to delete them completely because of the error message: "Cannot Delete ntuser: Access is Denied" or "Cannot remove the folder Profile: The directory is not empty."  Any ideas on how to fix this on multiple folders or a piece of software that would fix it?
