Server Crashes but Still Answers Pings

Every once in a while, seemingly at random, this server simply stops responding.  The video card stops sending output to the monitor, I can not connect to it via rdp, can't remotely view the event log via rpc, can't access any services running on it, etc, but it will still answer a ping.  As the event logs show absolutely nothing of any relevance surrounding the incidents, I'm hoping that the peculiar fact that it will still answer a ping might mean something.  Any ideas?Start Free Trial
