Server restarting due to automatic updates but updates are disabled.

Asked by level9tech in Windows 2003 Server, Windows Network Security Questions

Tags: Microsoft, Server 2003, SP2, Server restarting for updates when updates are disabled.

We had a server go down last night and when I logged into event viewer I noticed that it was restarted due to automatic updates.  When I looked at automatic updates it's checked "Turned Off"

Is there another way to disable automatic updates or at least make it so it does not restart?

Not every server restarted here, only one.  I know if your logged in it won't restart which confuses me because we are logged in locally.

Server 2003 SP2.
