SCCM 2007 - Updated Prerequisite Component Path?
Hello Experts,
During the install process of SCCM 2007 on my test network I ran into a problem. My network is not connected to the Internet and it is asking me to do one of two things at the Updated Prerequisite Component Path stage...
Eiither check for updates and download the newest prerequisite component files directly from Microsoft using the Internet or, if I have already downloaded the files to an alternate location, I can select the option to specify an alternate location to obtain the prerequisite component files.
I have neither Internet connectivity or these downloaded files. I have gone so far as creating the path, but it was not sufficient.
Please help :)
Thanks.

Is this really the only possible solution? What if my network is closed and is to be remained closed. What if my network is in a secure facility where these updates cannot just be imported? There has to be a workaround. What is are the file extensions for these update files?
The only soultion that u have in your case is to take the updated files from another one.

Do these come from Microsoft directly?
yes it's from microsoft.

Hmm... I tried doing searches with every possible keyword. Do you think it is something that has to be pulled from another SCCM server to be exported -> imported?

If you do not have connectivity on the manchine you are installing SCCM to do the following:
Insert the SCCM install media into a machine with Internet access. Click Start, RUN and enter
PATHTO\SMSSETUP\BIN\I386\S ETUP.EXE /download c:\sccmPrereq
be sure the target folder exists prior to run the command. When complete move these files to the machine toi which SCCM will be installed
