Hello,
Here are 2 scenarios:
1) XPSP2 worstation is joined to the domain. The user logs on to the domain. User then shuts down the computer and starts it back up from home. The user logs on with cached credentials and clicks on Cisco vpn client. The tunnel is created to the corporate network. The user clicks on his network home folder located on the corporate network and browses the ressources.
2)XPSP2 workstation is not in the domain. the computer is at home. User logs on locally and double clicks on Cisco VPN client. The tunnel is created. The user is a domain user. He maps a network drive to \\servername\share and hits enter. Window appears and he puts domain\username with password and enables reconnect at logon. He shuts down the computer and starts it up again. Double clicks Cisco VPN client and clicks on the mapped network drive, then a Window appears asking him for credentials.
Question is:
Why does it ask him for credentials on the 2nd scenario and not on the first? Remember that they both log on before they click on the Cisco vpn client.
Many thanks,
