Mapped Drive Folder Size Changes

Something Strange has happened that I have either never noticed or seen ...

Windows 2003 Server ... Workstations with XP Pro SPS and one with SPS3
I was transferring some files from a workstation to the server through a mapped drive and the
transfer stopped with an error that the drive is full ...

The server drive has 100 gig left but when I select the mapped drive properties on the workstation it only shows the capacity is 1 gig and the drive now had .99 gig filled.

I checked all workstations and they all have the same properties for the mapped drives on the server.

I also noticed a tab that I have never noticed of "Previous versions" and there is a large number of selections to review and restore ? I have never seen this before and wondering if this is causing my problem.

I rebooted the server and workstions and no change ...

I have never had this problem ever before ... has an update of some kind caused this ?

Have you tried re-mapping? Did you by any chance replace your drive(s) recently?

I have tried to remap and it was the same ... but this affected every mapped drive on all workstations (7) ... not just one computer. I am not running a mapping script at login but mapped each individually machine by machine.

I replaced the server 3 weeks ago and replaced 1 workstation yesterday.
It all worked fine until last night, but I would have never noticed the map drive listed as 1gig capacity unless as an issue happened when the file transfer stopped last night.

I also never noticed the previous versions tab ever and did not know that somehow Windows is keeping track of any changes ?

I found solution on another forum ...

Quota was set on the server drive ... I just unchecked it and it works fine
now ...
