Hi Guys, I need help on a network design implementation. Hope you guys can help me here. I have been tasked to implement the following network design...I will say it in words as I can't attach an image here, ok...here goes:
Server1 with IP Address: 192.168.0.1, running MS Server 2003 will be the gateway for internet access and allows a maximum of 5x VPN clients. VPN Clients can only access the desktop systems Marketing Department and Logistics Department. Marketing Department consists of 8x desktop systems running WIN XP Pro and Logistics Department consist of 2x desktop system running WIN XP Pro. Both Marketing and Logistics Department desktop systems is connected to switch1(24ports) with 192.168.0.0/26 and the IP range for switch1 is: 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.62. Server1 is also connected to the same switch. The general manager is situated within the Marketing Department.
Server2 with IP Address: 192.168.0.65 running MS Server 2003 is connected to Switch1 and Switch2. Switch2 is connected to Administration Department and IT Department. Administration Department consist of 5x desktop system running WinXP Pro and IT Department consists of 3x desktop system running WinXP Pro. Both Administration and IT Department desktop systems is connected to switch2(24ports) with 192.168.0.0/26 and the IP range for switch1 is: 192.168.0.65 to 192.168.0.126.
The following is are the requirements for this network:
1. I need to list out the range of IP address for the systems.
2. Each department must be able to communicate with each other and accessing the internet.
3. Server2 will also need to be the central file server for Marketing Department and Logistics Department. 4. Server2 will be running DHCP service and assign IP Addresses according to MAC address of the client systems.
I also would like to know how do I enable both subnets to talk to each other.
Hope this question is not too long. Thanks so much guys! You guys ROCK!!!
