I don't think the issue is with Exchange, everything else is working in Exchange, it's just IIS which will not start.

Browse All TopicsSince deleting several suspicious items which Sophos Antivirus found I managed to stop Outlook Web Access from working. When I have looked into this further it appeats from an error that there are more serious issues.
When trying to start IIS the following error appears in system event log:

The World Wide Web Publishing Service service depends on the following nonexistent service: HTTPFilter
I can not see how to resolve this and am not quite desperate to get OWA working again.

I foolishly reinstalled IIS and it has removed some OWA links I think, I have fixed the IIS issue with some regediting, if only i had left IIS alone instead of reinstalling it.......
Anyway, I'm now struggling to reinstall Exchange/OWA because setup on the CD as well as the SP2 CD say that the version installed is newer and I dont know how to get round that.

If you have had a virus problem there may be lots of other issues your just not aware of them yet. I would do a repair install of exchange
