you do not have sufficient privileges to complete this installation for all users of the machine

We are trying to install a program on a computer, for a user logged in using roaming profile. We get the error message you do not have sufficient privileges to complete this installation for all users of the machine. Obviously this program is trying to copy files in the All Users folder but cannot because the user does not have the proper privileges. So we added the user in the Administrators group on the domain, which should give him all the privileges needed to make the installation. We of course logged off and logged back in, but the same error message appears.

Any ideas?

What If you logon as the local administrator on the computer and perform the installation from there?

Yes, that will install the program, but for the program to work properly, I have to install it as the specific user, because that user will be using it. If I install it as admin, and the login as this user, the program won't work.

The user does not even exist on the local computer. He only exists on the server, and logs in using his roaming profile.

That's fine you can add domain accounts to local groups

On the server, in Active directory, add the user to the local administrator's group? Is this what you mean?

No on the computer where you are trying to install the software right click on my computer select manage in here there is a users and groups section.

Locate the administrator group and double click it and add your user from the domain that you need to install the software for.

You do this by entering the username in the format of DOMAINNAME\username
