Asked by OSLEE in Windows 2003 Server
I want to deploy SIS on the File Server running Windows Server 2003 R2 to manage only duplicate files. All these times I've been adding disk after disks and the capacity has grown to 42 X 300GB in 3 x MSA 30s. I've created Partitions of 500+GB and have distributed data to logical drives, dividing data into different groups.
I'm running out of ideas on how to manage the File Server now. When I do a search with TreeSize Pro, I get thousands of duplicate files. My research only reveal that SIS can be effectively be deployed on Windows Storage Server.
How can I have this feature deployed to Windows Server 2003 R2 or Windows Server 2008?
By the Way..the external disk config is as follows:
10 x 550GB partitions
1 x 1800GB Partition
