Restoring Registry Keys in Windows 2003 Server

Basically i want to do a testing on registry before i could make any changes on registry for RPC port on my servers .Using a test PC I had taken a export by right clicking the RPC in the hive HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Softwar

Importing a registry key that was exported earlier will not delete anything, it will just set/change back the exact same values that were exported earlier; this operation is strictly adding/replacing, it will leave any keys that have been added in the meantime unchanged.
You'll need to delete the Internet keys and values you *created* manually again, or you need to delete the complete key you exported, then import the reg file again. The former should be safe, do the latter at your own risk; RPC is a rather important service, I have no idea what will happen if the complete key is missing all of a sudden.
"Backing up" the registry with a file export like this is NOT reliable; there are keys that are in constant access, which you might be able to export, but then not import again! Unless you know exactly what you're doing, make sure you have a working backup of the complete machine before changing values!
