I am seeing very slow file transfers (e.g. 20 minutes for 30MB .... and no, I am not exaggerating !) between two Windows 2003 servers hooked up to the same 100Mb switch.
Both servers are not at all heavily loaded and are both running fully patched up copies of W2K3 R2 SP2.
I must admit I don't really know where to start looking or what to look at ! It's a truly incomprehensible problem !
Hopefully one or two experts here have seen it before.

Is either card in either server running in half-duplex?
Are both cards really 100Mbit cards?
Can you try a 1Gbit switch for this particular application?
