Thank you TGEBERT for the lightning fast reply. I am a novice do Windows administration so I am going to ask you some clarifying questions if you dont mind.
1. When I right-click My Computer on the server I dont see the Remote tab to allow users, I must be missing something. All I see is Open, Explore, search, Manage, Map Network Drive, Disconnect network Drive, Create Shortcut, Delete rename and Properties.
2. In group policy under User Rights which Policy should I be looking at changing? The ones that I guessimate it being are "Access this computer from the network" and "Allow log on throught Terminal Services"
Your help and guidance are greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

You can right-click My Computer on the server, and use the Remote tab to allow users, or manually assign the appropriate users the Allow log on through Remote Desktop Services right.
Start -> Run -> gpedit.msc -> Computer Configuration -> Windows Settings -> Security Settings -> Local Policies -> User Rights
