Asked by SMUNBEMS-DBA in Windows 2003 Server, Windows XP Operating System, Windows Batch Scripting
I have windows SP sp2 clients that are connected to the domain over slow WAN links (cellular 1XEV) connections. I am able to push group policy changes to these clients by disabling slow link detection but now I have a need to run a batch file on these machines.
I have the batch file copied to the local machine but have not been able to execute it. Is there a simple way to have the clients run the local file. Or make it a log in script that will run on the slow link? Or set a scheduled task to execute the local file? I was trying to find a simple solution. As I type this I'm thinking of maybe testing our a registry key entry under the run once registry key.
Any suggestions would be welcomed.
Thanks
