step one..
make sure you are completely patched up.
make sure you are 100% sure you have no spyware/virus
clean out temp files (always makes processes faster)
make sure you have a couple of different kinds of backups.
uninstall any software on the server that isnt part of the SBS install (such as antivirus apps)
allow yourself some time and have a contingency plan..
then follow the ms guide.
Also - give serious consideration to the pros and cons of a clean install.
