Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI am having a problem connecting from the server to any client... but from any client to the server no pb.
The whole pb started when I found that the server's time was 1 hour ahead...so I fixed it and what happened
is that all of the sudden all users could not log in !! So I told them to log off/log on and the logon script fixed it
(net time /set )
Now the users can log in again and work normally... but
The Server's clock is not synchronized with the primary domain controller....
This is what I tried :
from the client machine : net time /set . and it asks me if I want to set it as the server's and I select Yes.
But still not being able to connect from the server to the client.. (XP )
I tried to stop the windows time service and restarted it from the client...nothing.
the clocks are sycned ! I even tried to change the client's clock and set it 4 hours ahead..
then I logged off and on...then the clock is back to being in sync with the server..
yet I can not connect and I get the sames error... From the client to the server I have no pb !!!
please help...
I tried all the options of w32tm /discover /resycn etc...nothing works...
please help.

also check that it isnt a daylight savings issue - the time displayed may not be the 'real' time.
if you are in a daylighgt savings area and your DLS rules have changed this can cause machines to appear to hav the same time but actually be out by an hour if one system thinks it has DLS applied and the other system doesnt.
