Windows 2003 Print Server - Possible to Change Default Driver Location ?
Hello,
I am setting up a new Windows 2003 R2 print server and I have changed the default spool location, but am curious if the default printer drivers folder can be changed to a different drive on a server?
I'm inquiring because I believe a lot of printers could be installed/uninstalled in the next few years, and when uninstalled, the drivers usually stay. So the driver folder can get fat, causing the system drive to get full sooner than expected.
Thanks for your time!

I didnt think there was any way to do this - but thanks for your thoughts and ideas!

This is not a cluster, just a preconfigured virtual machine, and I thought it would be nice to have the printer drivers in a different location than in the systemdrive. It is strange that the spooler can be moved easily, but not the actual driver location, so I thought I'd ask EE. I'm aware of removing the drivers too as you mentioned. ;-)
I think there is not an easy way for this - and we just have to stay on top of properly installing and removing the drivers as time passes. I'll keep this open for a couple days just to make sure nothing else comes up.
Thanks for your time!
