Restore old systemstate on a domain controller

I will probably need to restore an old systemstate (over 1,5 years) on a 2003 R2 Standard domain controller. It is the only domain controller in the network.
I’m trying to be prepared what problems I will need to deal with.

1. What will happen to users that have been added later? Is it just to add them again and everything works as before on the client, or do I have to create a new profile for the user and move all the data from the old one?

2. What will happen to users that the username has been changed for? Is it just to change it again?

3. What about newly added computers. I guess I only add them again.

4. Are there any other problems that might occur?

Thank you! I have not yet made the restore, but your answer makes it much easier to plan the hole thing.
Now I have made the restore. You where absolutely right in what I had to do.
I also had to do the following to get it to work:
Set the date back 1.5 years some days after the backup was made. Otherwise I got an error message in BackupExec when trying to restore. Then set the right date again after the restore.
Install some programs again that I had installed within the 1.5 years since the backup was made.
