Need To Look At Computer Screen to Print???

Hey Experts,

I have a computer on our network (Windows Server 2003) that is like a printer and data hub where a lot of documents are sent to a program that prints it out to whatever printer they specify. It was working just fine until a couple of weeks ago where now I have pinned it down to that I need to be logged in via remote desktop and I need to being viewing the remote desktop session. I can't remote in and then close it...I need to keep the remote desktop open. I can minimize it...just not close it. I have done nothing to the server expect for Windows updates.

Any ideas or questions?

Are you using Server 2003 Print Services?

I dont think so...we use to have this running on a Windows XP machine like 3 years ago before I moved it to Server 2003 so I'm sure it's not using the Print services...
So it's a shared printer?
Yes...they are all network printers from our domain controller server expect for one local PDFCreator printer and I actually just confirmed that the only printer that is not working to the problem I described is the PDFCreator
A couple of things to check in Control panel >> Printers and Faxes >> PDFCreator:
1. Verify that under printer properties under the security tab, the Everyone group has Print permissions and Administrators have Print/Manage permissions
2. Under the Advanced tab, "Always available" is selected.
3. Also, make sure the Status in control panel reads "Ready"
Everything is setup correct as far as what you asked me to take a look at...
So how do you deal with the prompts that usually come up with PDFCreator, for file redirection, file names, etc.?
It is set to autosave in a location on the network...which it has access to
