How to copy printers from a 2003 print server to another 2003 print server
Hi ALl,
I need to create a new 2003 print server . On the old printer server there are 220 printers plus drivers. I tried to use the prinmig.exe utility. It copied the printers, drivers, and ports and creatyed a cab file.
When I ran the utility on the target server, it showed like it was copying and displayed succsufully completed, but no printers were installed. Restarted the spooler, and rebooted the server but no printers were shown
Any help will be appreciated
Thanks

try using Microsoft print management, install the admin pak and you should have it, add both servers to the print management console, then use it to export to file from the old server, then on the new server do a import.
If you are going 32-bit to 32-bit, then you are good. If you are trying to move to 64-bit OS, expect trouble.
