Point to point administration of a network

Hello,

I have another post dealing with the same network described below but with different issues.  I have a 192.168.1.X home network with Linksys gaming router and its own domain trying to connect to another identical network (192.168.1.x and Linksys router) with a different domain name via the internet.  I thought I opened the correct ports but don't know much else.  I believe I need:

1.  static IP on the remote end.
2.  Port opened on both routers for remote desktop connection
3.  Possibly changing network segment?
