How can i move an vmware to another datastore in the same server. I am running esxi 3.5

You can use the manual method of copying or an alternative way would be to use VMware vConverter 4.0.1 to do the same thing using GUI.

If you don't use vConverter, then once you copy the files from one folder to another or from one server to another, you will need to register the VM with the ESX host. The easy way of doing this is by
1) Click on Configuration while on the host in the VI client
2) Click on Storage and than the data store. Right click the vmx file in the folder that you have just copied, and choose Add to Inventory.
For copying files between various ESX(i) hosts ... I recommend FastSCP from veeam (www.veeam.com)
new disks in and data store created, however when trying to do the migrate it wanted to move the whole thing the host confgig c drive and the second drive. not good. YOur help is much appretiated.
I even tried to move the vmdk file and then add to inventory but it wouldnt add. Not going well. I will put the solution hear when I find it.

As per my understanding, you want to move a Virtual Machine from one Datastore to another.
